Our Kanata design pays tribute to the Mic Mac hockey stick first made by the Mi’kmaq peoples, 3 star blanket maple leafs representing the Indigenous cultures in Canada the First Nations, Inuit and Metis, and the word “Kanata” it is an indigenous Canadian word in the Iroquoian language meaning “Village” or “Settlement” it is the origin of the name of Canada.
